My Story
It really amazes me HOW much this little candle business has truly changed my life. the thousands of amazing people it has allowed me to meet and the friendships I have made, has truly been the greatest thing to ever happen to me. before I joined Scentsy, I honestly knew no one! I kept to myself, was always at home with my kids (not always on the go like I am now!) I had very (VERY) few friends, and was SO lonely even though my 2 year old twins, and 5 year old NEVER left me alone. I was ALONE. day in and day out. My husband worked alot, and he's never been much of a talker.. or a listener either lol. Completely ALONE. No college education, I was in Special Education my ENTIRE 12 years of School. I can barely read and function like a "normal" adult. My brain is always all over the place, and I can never finish anything I start. I can barely read and I have the worst case of social anxiety EVER. Being a high school "reject" takes a toll on your confidence and self esteam. I figured that staying home with my kids was all I was ever going to do... Then came Scentsy When I started this little candle adventure 10 years ago, I wondered WHO in the world I was ever going to sell this stuff to. I didnt know much about Scentsy other then I liked the stuffed animals that smelled great !! I stayed home with my kids ALL day everyday... who would I ever see to sell it to ??? I joined Scentsy randomly from posting on Mom Swap that I was interested in joining a company - pretty much JUST so I could be a part of something and have something to do, and hopefully meet people. A million random messages later and a girl mentioned Scentsy to me... the smelly stuffed animals! So after meeting up with her in a coffee shop, and having a face to face conversation with a PERSON that made me feel like a PERSON other then mom, or wife... (I was seriously SO lonely!) I wanted to be her friend and make more friends like her, so I decided to JOIN ! With hundreds of local consultants in my area, I though I would never get anyone to buy anything from me. only 200 facebook friends, all that bought this stuff from someone else. WHO was I going to sell it to ? I am not a sales person... Ive never sold anything... So the daily mission began, to get out of my house, and meet new people! I had to force myself out of the house every day, because I WANTED to make friends, and sell some Scentsy too! Scentsy got me up and out of the house with all 3 kids (now 4) EVERY day, because I knew if I got up and out, Id meet other people. I made myself join local groups and clubs, and I forced myself to talk to strangers... I DID and still do have social anxiety and am nervous about talking to people I dont know) 10 years later -I have been on an all expenses paid trip to Cancun for FREE, A 7 day Eastern Caribbean Cruise for 2 for FREE, a 5 Day Cruise to Cozumel for 2 for FREE, Convention in Las Vegas for FREE, a 9 DAY Vacation to DISNEY WORLD that I earned for all 5 of us! A few free trips to Mexico, AND a 7 Day Mediteranian Cruise for 2 (EVERYTHING Included!) - I have traveled (ALONE!!!! wow - scary big step!)to Scentsys "mothership" in Boise,ID, St Louis for convention, to Nashville, TN !!! AND Anaheim, CA (With a free day in Disneyland!) (traveling alone for the first time was the scariest thing Ive ever done!) -I became a "leader" to over 400 AMAZING people !! (like, for real ? I knew NO ONE before this!) - Ive met HUNDREDS of amazing Scentsy Consultants WORLD WIDE which I love to death, who inspire and motivate me daily ! - I have been able to take my kids on adventures and help them live the life that one can only DREAM of ! (we didnt have this kind of financial freedom before Scentsy!!!) I can buy them clothes that arent from a yard sale. I can take them out for lunch or dinner ANYTIME I want! I have my OWN money!!! - I have become SO incredibly happy. - I am NOT alone. - I am able to HELP other people start businesses and change their lives too??! (the BEST feeling EVER!) - I have a self confidence and an amount of self worth and accomplishment that NO amount of money could buy. I never thought I could do this, EVER, but if I can.. ANY SINGLE ONE OF YOU !! AND I meet more new amazing people every day, that I would never have met if I hadn't been a part of this truely awesome company which I fall more in love with each and every day. That night of January 2, 2014 was absolutely the best choice I've ever made for myself. I am thankful everyday for not only my new friends, but I am extreamly greatful for every person who has ever ordered Scentsy from me, Hosted a Scentsy Party with me, and all of my team members and other Scentsy consultants who have helped me accomplish everything I have in such this little time. I honestly couldn't have done it without such a great group of people supporting me. I look forward to everything the future brings with this amazing company, because I'll be in it for life!
